2019 Orientation and Sign Up

Movie night
Pack 3000’s July summer activity was watching a movie on the lawn at the BUMC scout compound. The scouts had a great time playing soccer and exploring before we settled for a movie and popcorn. Thank goodness we got a break from the July rain!
Den 4 July summer activity: fishing!
Den 4 had a fun morning of fishing at Dupree Park in Woodstock on July 13. Great weather, friendly ducks, curious turtles, and even yes, a few fish.

Den 4 joined the community for an Independence Day walking parade in Milton. A great day for a slushy too!
Jones Bridge Trail Hike
Pack 3000’s June summer activity was a hike at the Jones Bridge Trail. We had beautiful weather for a 3 mile hike alongside (and maybe a few steps into) the Chattahoochee River.

Back-to-the-Pack Pool Party Scouts and their families had a great time at our annual Back-to-the-Pack Pool Party. Rocket Day Our Rocket Launch was a huge success… thanks everyone!
Northern Ridge District Twilight Cub Camp
The 2019 Northern Ridge District Twilight Cub Camp (June 3-6) was a huge success! Woodworking, skits, archery, science, and much much more. Save the dates for next year’s camp, June 1-4 2019.
2019 Graduation

2019 Spring campout
April 13-14 was the Pack 3000 Spring Campout at Woodruff Scout Camp. Saturday was a beautiful day filled with hiking, nature spotting, fishing, “walking tacos”, and the famous Pack 3000 campfire program. Cub Scout Pack 3000 hosted their 2019 pinewood derby on January 26, 2019, at Birmingham United Methodist Church. The pinewood derby is a longstanding annual event in which Cub Scouts learn about sportsmanship and teamwork while building and racing wooden model cars with their family and friends.
