Den 4 October meeting

Den 4 met in downtown Alpharetta for their October meeting to work on requirements 1. (learn about the flag, the pledge of allegiance, and display a flag at home for a month) and 2.B. (visit historical sites in your community).

We brought a *lot* of energy to Alpharetta today! You can pick up a walking tour brochure at the visitors center if you want to retrace our steps. There is also a history museum in city hall that is open during the week that would be a great resource for learning about community history. Christina Carns (Thomas’s mom!) led us on today’s walking tour.

Our scouts each took home a desk flag to display in their rooms so that they can reflect what they learned about the flag and the pledge of allegiance.

We wrapped up our day with an impromptu visit to the First City Fair at Alpharetta First Baptist Church. Who could ask for a better way to end a den meeting than with bouncy houses, popcorn, carnival games, and candy?
