Den 4 September (fall campout) meeting

Thank you Den 4 for joining us for another awesome campout! Our den set up, organized, and led the other scouts in the pack through “carnival” games during the pack activity time. During our den time we talked about our favorite parts of the games, and what worked well and what didn’t. We also made up our own den game with some custom rules and talked about what we can do to make games fun for anyone. We completed the following components to complete the “Grin and Bear It” adventure:

  • #1 Play a challenge game or initiative game with the members of your den. Take part in a reflection after the game.
  • #2 Working with the members of your den, organize a Cub Scout carnival and lead it at a special event.
  • #3 Help younger Cub Scouts take part in one of the events at the Cub Scout carnival.
  • #4 After the Cub Scout carnival, discuss with the members of your den and your den leader what went well, what could be done better, and how everyone worked together to make the event a success.

#1 and #4 were done during our den meeting time, while #2 and #3 were done during the pack activity time.

Our scouts also did a great job with the “Soap and Scrubby” and “Lightbulb” skits at the camp fire!

Thank you to all of our parents for helping around the camp site, whether it was running activities, planning skits, or helping with the food!
