Den 4 December meeting

At our December 8th meeting, our scouts learned all about safe and responsible use of pocket knives! They completed the “bear claws” requirement (combining parts of 3a and 3b by whittling soap and practicing opening letters) and also fulfilled the requirements to earn a “whittling chip”, which gives them the privilege of using pocket knives at designated scout events with their parent’s and den leader’s permission.

We are extremely proud of our den for doing a great job with this adventure! Everyone was very attentive and serious about safety.
