Adventure was in full swing as Cub Scout Pack 3000 celebrated Jamboree on the Water (JOTW) with an unforgettable tubing trip down the beautiful Toccoa River in the North Georgia mountains!
Jamboree on the Water is an international Scouting event that encourages Scouts around the world to experience activities on, in, or around the water while celebrating the spirit of adventure and the outdoors. Whether it’s kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing, or tubing, Scouts everywhere take part in water-based activities that build confidence, teamwork, and an appreciation for nature.
Floating Into Adventure
Our Pack spent the day enjoying a relaxing float down the scenic Toccoa River. Surrounded by the beauty of the North Georgia mountains, Scouts and their families enjoyed cool water, gentle currents, and plenty of opportunities to laugh, splash, and make lasting memories together.
The tubing adventure wasn’t about racing to the finish—it was about slowing down, enjoying the outdoors, and spending quality time together as a Pack.
Along the way, Scouts practiced:
- 🛟 Water safety and responsible recreation
- 🤝 Teamwork and helping one another
- 🌲 Appreciating Georgia’s natural beauty
- 😊 Building friendships with fellow Scouts and families
- 💙 Living the Scout Oath and Scout Law through kindness, respect, and helpfulness

Summer Fun, the Scouting Way
One of the best parts of Cub Scouting is that adventure doesn’t stop when school lets out. Summer activities like Jamboree on the Water keep our Scouts active, engaged, and connected with their friends while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Whether floating down a mountain river, camping under the stars, hiking local trails, or serving our community, every activity helps our Scouts grow in confidence while simply having fun outdoors.
Thank You to Our Families
A big thank you to all of the parents, leaders, and volunteers who helped make this outing possible. Cub Scouting is a family program, and it’s wonderful to see everyone sharing adventures together.
Seeing Scouts encouraging one another, laughing together, and enjoying God’s beautiful creation reminds us why Scouting is such a special experience.
Adventure Awaits!
Jamboree on the Water was another fantastic stop on Pack 3000’s summer adventure calendar—but there’s so much more to come!
Throughout the year our Scouts enjoy camping trips, hikes, Pinewood Derby, service projects, outdoor adventures, STEM activities, and family events designed to help every Scout learn, grow, and have fun.
If you’re looking for a program where your family can unplug, explore the outdoors, and create lifelong memories together, Pack 3000 would love to welcome you!
Adventure is always just around the bend with Pack 3000!
