Discovering, Building, and Exploring at Cub Family STEM Day!

Curiosity was on full display as Cub Scout Pack 3000 spent an exciting day at Cub Family STEM Day at Bert Adams Scout Camp!

Cub Family STEM Day combines the excitement of Cub Scouting with the wonder of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Through hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, interactive exhibits, and outdoor adventures, Scouts discover that learning can be every bit as exciting as camping and hiking. The event also includes opportunities for archery, BB shooting sports, and other outdoor activities, making it a day filled with exploration and discovery.

Learning by Doing

Our Scouts spent the day asking questions, solving problems, building projects, and discovering how science works in the world around them.

Whether they were launching rockets, experimenting with chemistry, tackling engineering challenges, or exploring interactive STEM exhibits, every activity encouraged our Scouts to think creatively and work together.

Throughout the day, our Scouts enjoyed:

  • 🚀 Launching exciting science experiments
  • 🧪 Exploring chemistry through safe, hands-on activities
  • ⚙️ Solving engineering challenges
  • 🔬 Discovering science through interactive exhibits
  • 🏹 Testing their skills at the archery range
  • 🎯 Practicing marksmanship at the BB range
  • 🤝 Working together to solve problems
  • 💡 Asking questions and discovering new ideas

STEM Meets Scouting

One of the best things about Cub Scouting is that learning happens through adventure.

At Cub Family STEM Day, our Scouts discovered that science isn’t just something you read about in a classroom—it’s something you can build, test, explore, and experience. Every experiment encouraged curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking while showing that mistakes are simply another step toward discovery.

Events like this help Scouts build confidence by trying new things, asking “What happens if…?” and celebrating the excitement of figuring out the answer together.

Adventure at Bert Adams Scout Camp

Cub Family STEM Day also gave many of our Scouts another opportunity to enjoy the incredible facilities at Bert Adams Scout Camp. From outdoor program areas to the shooting sports ranges, the camp provides the perfect setting for Cub Scouts to learn, explore, and grow while having fun with friends and family.

Thank You!

A big thank you goes to the Atlanta Area Council volunteers, staff, and everyone who made Cub Family STEM Day such a memorable experience. We also appreciate all of our Pack 3000 families who joined us and encouraged their Scouts to stay curious, ask questions, and embrace new challenges.

Watching our Scouts light up with excitement after each experiment reminded us that some of the best learning happens when children are simply having fun.

The Adventure Continues!

From STEM challenges and outdoor adventures to camping, hiking, community service, and Pinewood Derby, Pack 3000 believes every Scout deserves opportunities to explore new interests and discover what inspires them.

If your family is looking for a place where children can build confidence, make friends, and learn through adventure, we’d love to have you join us.

At Pack 3000, every question leads to a new adventure—and every adventure begins with curiosity!
